Mechanical Filtration

HEPA detail ProtectAire® offers high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters designed to remove particles larger than 0.3 µm with an efficiency of 99.997%. HEPA filters are used in many industries including pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, aerospace, hospitals, commercial buildings, food, beverage, hydroponics, casino, residential and research laboratories.

In addition to HEPA filters ProtectAire offers a range of Ultra Low Particulate Air (ULPA) filters. They are designed to work at 99.9995% efficient in removing particles 0.12 µm and larger. ULPA filters are used in air filtration and purification systems to control airborne particulate levels and to prevent the spread of toxic aerosol agents and infectious diseases.

When a high degree of filtration is needed to ensure protection from particulate or other potentially harmful aerosol agents, a HEPA or ULPA filter should be used to ensure environmental or occupational safety.

Pre-filters are considered the first line of defense or the only method for capture depending on the application or device within which they are installed. ProtectAire offers a variety of sizes and MERV rating for pre-filters.

Ultra Low Particulate Air (ULPA) Filters are available in various configurations for the containment of particles. This filter has a 99.9995% efficiency rating for collecting 0.125 micron particles.

Dual Purpose Safety Filters

Dual Purpose Filter The safety filters are designed to incorporate both gas phase and mechanical phase filtration into one safety filter. The dual purpose safety filter is critical to ensuring operator and laboratory safety as it provides adequate reserve gas phase capacity as the primary filter(s) reach saturation.


pre filter The particulate pre-filter is an electrostatically charged fiber filter which effectively removes submicron particulates. It is designed to remove particulate in a stand-alone application or to protect the carbon filter from contaminants such as smoke, acid mists, and other submicron particulates.
